Peer Review Process

The originals are submitted for prior appraisal by the Editorial Committee, which will forward them to the evaluators (at least 02), for those considered adequate to the journal's editorial criteria. The evaluators will recommend its acceptance, rejection or may suggest reformulations. In this case, the reformulated article will return to the reviewers for the final opinion.

The evaluators will be selected based on their specific areas of knowledge, in line with the themes addressed in the articles. With the double-blind review system, the names of the reviewers will remain confidential, as well as the names of the authors.

The estimated time to evaluate the articles is 30 days, counting from the date of receipt and acceptance of the evaluation of the article, which may be extended for another 10 days, in exceptional cases. The average time between submission and issuance of the final result by the Editorial Committee is 04 (four) months, which may be extended in cases of request for reformulation.

The content of the articles is the sole responsibility of the authors.

Frequency

Currently, the journal is published every four months.

Open Access Policy

Engineering and Science magazine offers immediate free access to its content. In addition, it does not charge fees for submissions and publications of articles, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public and providing worldwide democratization of knowledge.

Indexers, databases and repositories

For greater visibility, the magazine has a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) that is listed in Crossref. In addition, it is included in the Google Scholar, Sumários.org, REDIB, DOAJ and DIADORIM databases. In addition, future indexing is in the process of implementation with the intent of disseminating the magazine's content, promoting greater coverage for the works published in it.
