A importância da folga financeira nas empresas que investem em inovação
Uma análise na indústria brasileira

Este trabalho analisa a importância da folga financeira na caracterização das empresas industriais brasileiras que investem em inovação. A inovação nas empresas requer um processo robusto de financiamento cujos resultados são incertos. Assim, a folga financeira pode ser uma estratégia importante na caracterização das estratégias de inovação das empresas. Foram utilizadas todas as 106 empresas industriais listadas na B3 e feito um disclosure para identificar aquelas que investiam em inovação e aquelas que não faziam. Após a obtenção desses dados foi realizada uma análise fatorial como forma de resumir e reduzir os dados, para então verificar como as variáveis analisadas de folga financeira se agrupavam e se apresentam associação. Ademais, foi realizada uma análise de comparação de média e variância a fim de observar se de fato as empresas que apresentam gastos com inovação possuem uma maior folga financeira. Como resultado da análise fatorial, observa-se que as variáveis podem ser resumidas em quatro grupos, e estes são diferentes dos três grandes blocos (disponível, recuperável e potencial) que a literatura pressupõe. Como resultado da segunda análise, tem-se que as empresas que investem em inovação apresentaram menores padrões de variância para as variáveis de folga, isto é, são mais homogêneas e apresentam maiores níveis de folgaDownloads
