Abstract

Environmental Education provides the construction of values and knowledge with the aim of preserving the Environment, an asset of common and collective use. Thus, through formal and informal spaces, people acquire new knowledge regarding this topic, the subject of wide debate in academic and scientific circles. The present study aimed to correlate brief concepts of Environmental Education and its interface with the abandonment of domestic animals; the role of the School in the formation of society and the application of the Didactic Sequence as a methodology for building knowledge. This is a bibliographic, descriptive and exploratory characterization study, with a qualitative approach, carried out between the second half of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024. Nine articles were analyzed for its preparation, selected from the "Periódico Capes" website, the SciELO Platform and from the FUCAMP notebooks. For the investigation, the following criteria were considered: main theorists; pedagogical actions proposed for Science teaching; Environmental education; target audience; research field; concepts of the Environment and Legislation relating to environmental protection and animal management. Therefore, it is clear to guarantee the maintenance of life, as well as the animal's well-being and the preservation of the planet, it is necessary that the environment is in balance and is being protected. This requires the collaboration of the community and the action of the Public Authorities in its preservation.

Marcio Mateus Amui Pinheiro, Teacher of Basic Education at the State Department of Education (SEDUC/MT), Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, Brazil,

Mestre em Ensino, com ênfase em Ciências da Natureza, pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Mato Grosso, Campus Octayde, Cuiabá/MT. Minha dissertação, intitulada "A bordo do HMS Beagle: o ensino de Evolução por meio de um jogo sério para dispositivos móveis", foi orientada pelo professor Dr. Marcelo Franco Leão. Possuo graduação em Licenciatura em Biologia pelo Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Mato Grosso, Campus Confresa (2018), onde apresentei meu trabalho de conclusão de curso em Evolução. Em 2020, concluí uma Especialização em Ensino de Biologia. Entre 2018 e 2019, participei do projeto Residência Pedagógica, financiado pela CAPES. Tenho experiência com turmas do Ensino Médio (1, 2 e 3 anos), principalmente utilizando metodologias ativas e jogos educacionais digitais. Minhas áreas de atuação incluem Metodologias de Ensino, Educação Ambiental, Evolução, Ensino de Ciências e Ensino de Biologia.

Possui graduação em Química Licenciatura Plena pela Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul (2006) e em Física Licenciatura pela Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso (2015). Tem Especialização em Orientação Educacional pela Faculdade Dom Alberto (2009) e em Especialização em Relações Raciais na Educação e na Sociedade Brasileira pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (2012). É Mestre em Ensino pela Universidade do Vale do Taquari (2014) e Doutor em Educação e Ensino de Ciências pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2018). Tem experiência docente na área de Ensino de Química. Ministrou aulas de Instrumentação para o Ensino de Química, Metodologias para o Ensino de Química, Química Geral, CTS, e Química Analítica no Ensino Superior. Desde 2003 atua como professor na Educação Básica das disciplinas de Ciências, Química e Física. Atualmente é professor EBTT efetivo do Instituto Federal de Mato Grosso (IFMT), Campus de Rondonópolis/MT. Participa do Grupo de Pesquisa Ensino de Ciências e Matemática no Baixo Araguaia (GPEnCiMa), registrado no CNPq, e atua como editor da Revista Prática Docente. É coordenador de área do Programa de Iniciação à Docência (PID) Núcleo Confresa. Atua como Docente Permanente no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino (PPGEn - IFMT). Tem capacidade de comunicação, de articular e contextualizar informações, de constante atualização, habilidade para compreender questões lógicas, para pensar e solucionar conflitos, familiaridade com computadores e novas tecnologias, gosto pela pesquisa, responsabilidade, ética e integridade, flexibilidade e adaptabilidade, disciplina, capacidade de negociação.
